Merlin: I wouldn’t blame you if you wanted him dead.
Gwen: If Uther died I’d feel nothing. He means nothing to me.
Merlin: But if you had…you know…the choice, what would you do? If you had the power of life and death over Uther, would you kill him? For what he did?
Gwen: What would that solve? That would make me a murderer. That would make me as bad as him.
Merlin: You’re right. Of course you’re right.
Gwen: Arthur, Hunith made you some food.
Arthur: Thanks. *mutters* I think.
Gwen: *stopping and turning back around* Food is scarce for these people, you shouldn’t turn your nose up at it!
*Arthur stares at her*
Gwen: Oh, no. I, I shouldn’t’ve spoken to you like that. I’m sorry.
Gwen: *leaving* I’m sorry, I don’t know what I was thinking. It won’t happen again.
*Gwen turns to face him*
Arthur: Thank you. You’re right.
Gaius: On one side it says, “Take me up,” and on the other, “Cast me away.”
Morgana: Sometimes you’ve got to do what you think is right, and damn the consequences.
Arthur: You think I should go?
Morgana: It doesn’t matter what I think.
Arthur: If I don’t make it back, who will be the next king of Camelot? There’s more than just my life at stake.
Morgana: And what kind of king would Camelot want? One that would risk his life to save that of a lowly servant? Or one who does what his father tells him to?
*Merlin takes a burning stick from the fire and blows some flecks into the air*
*the glowing flecks take the shape of the Pendragon dragon*
*A man attacks Arthur from behind and Morgana steps in, saves Arthur, and kills the man.*
Morgana: Bring back memories of when I used to beat you?
Arthur: That never happened.
Nimueh: The Cup of Life, blessed by centuries of powerful sorcerers so that it contains the very secret of life itself. If Arthur drinks water from the Cup, he will live.
Gaius: Pass the salt, please.
*Merlin absentmindedly hands him an apple*
Morgana: We’re coming with you.
Merlin: What do you mean?
Gwen: You’re going to need all the help you can get. I can mend armour and sharpen swords.
Morgana: And I know how to fight.
Merlin: But y-y- you can’t. I mean, why would you?
Gwen: If it was the other way around, you’d help us. You already have. You saved my life.
Morgana: And you helped me get the druid boy out of Camelot. We owe it to you. Both of us.
Arthur: You’re making me anxious.
Merlin: But I’m not worried.
Arthur: Then stop pacing.
*Merlin sits down, but starts tapping his fingers.*
*Arthur gets up and starts pacing*
Uther: I, my family, and my kingdom are deeply indebted to you. And in honour of this, I not only reinstate you as court physician, but henceforth, you are a free man of Camelot.
Arthur: I swore to him you’d never challenge his authority again. I swore that you’d learned your lesson. Tread carefully. Next time, I may not be able to help you.
Morgana: Thank you. You’re a better man than your father. Always were.
